Image Source: Xtra Time[/caption] Internet Desk: Uttarakhand is all set to start a franchise based football league on the lines of Indian Super League. The USL, which will commence from June 03, will go on for a month. The final is slated to be held on July 03. Uttarkhand Adventures Sports Pvt. Ltd., the promoters of the league are hopeful of generating a good response. Speaking at the press conference held at the World Integrity Centre on Saturday, tournament committee chairman Virender Rawat, "For the first time, Uttarakhand is going to have high standard football league based on ISL. The league aims to promote football across India and nurture young Indian talent to take up the sport professionally." The league will comprise of 14 teams from Uttarakhand. 13 teams will be from the districts of Uttarakhand and one will be named as Corbett Tigers. The matches will be held as day-night matches. Seven teams will be divided into two groups each. Each team will be able to sign 4 foreigners, 15 Indian players and 6 district players. There will be telecast for all the matches. The auction for all the players will be held at 20^th April at Dehradun. According to the promoters USL would be the biggest football platform for the state's football players.Former India captain Bhaichung Bhutia is likely to be named the brand ambassador of the USL.
