UEFA Champions League – Barcelona, Manchester United, Juventus and other big boys win comfortably

XtraTime Web Desk – The Champions League round 4 day 1 saw all the big boys of Champions League win comfortably against their respected opponents.

Starting with FC Barcelona, they had no problem whatsoever beating FC Dynamo Kyiv 4-0. Without Lionel Messi in the team, this is a commendable performance from the catalan side. After 0-0 in the first half, new signing Sergino Dest broke the deadlock in the 52nd minute. Martin Braithwaite then scored a brace. His first goal came in 57th minute and second from a penalty in the 73rd minute. Antoine Griezmann scored late in the 90th minute to end the match. Barcelona are currently sitting at the top of their group, with 12 points from 4 games.

Manchester United also had an easy outing at the theatre of dreams when they faced Istanbul Besaksehir. It was an important game for Manu, since the same opponent beat them last time in Champions League. Keeping that in mind, United started with a dominating mode. They were 3-0 up in 35th minute. Bruno Fernandes scored a brace by then and Marcus Rashford scored from a penalty. Deniz Turuc scored in the 73rd minute to pull one back for Besaksehir but Daniel James scored in the 93rd minute to keep the difference of 3 goals. Juventus was scheduled to face Ferencvarosi TC on Tuesday. The night was thought to be an easy one for the old lady but it wasn’t. Myrto Uzuni gave Ferencvarosi the lead in the 19th minute of the match. However, they couldn’t keep the lead for a long time as Cristiano Ronaldo strike in the 35th minute leveled the score to 1-1. Juventus was playing attacking football while Ferencvarosi was on a fm defensive mood. Even after many attacks, Juventus was unable to break the deadlock in 90 minutes. Alvaro Morata did it in the 92nd minute that gave Juventus a well deserved 3 points at the end of the match. Juventus now stands second in the group with 9 points from 4 games behind Barcelona.

Paris Saint Germain beat RB Leipzig 1-0 from a goal from Neymar in the 11th minute from a penalty. PSG now has 6 points from 4 games and sitting just behind Manchester United.

Borussia Dortmund won 3-0 against Club Brugge. The Erling Halland fairytale continues as he scored a brace again. Jadon Sancho scored the another one for Dortmund.

Chelsea beat Stade Rennais 2-1 as Hudson Odoi and Oliver Giroud surf scored for the London club. Their group rival, Sevilla also managed to win as they beat FC Krasnodar 2-1. Both the teams now have 10 points from 4 games.
