Xtra Time Web Desk: India’s star batter Virat Kohli could not resist heaping his praise after watching Suryakumar Yadav score his maiden IPL ton against Gujarat Titans at the Wankhede stadium on Friday. Virat post in his Instagram story wrote “Tula Maanla Bhau” meaning “Tujhe maan gaya bhau”.
There has been lots of talks about Surya’s form in recent times. After a slow start in the ongoing IPL season, Surya is back with a bang. He reached his maiden hundred in just 49 balls which included 11 hits to the fence and 6 sixes. Sky hit a six off the last ball to bring up his maiden IPL hundred.
Coming in to bat after Rashid Khan dismissed both Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan quickly, SKY took the onus on himself. He reached his half-century in 32 balls. He was on top gear the moment he reached his half century, taking the Gujarat Titans bowlers to the cleaners.
In the last match against Punjab, Surya smashed 35-ball 83 to chase down the target of 200 in 16.3 overs.
With Surya in such ominous form, Mumbai Indians certainly looks dangerous leading up to the business end of IPL 2023.
