Xtra Time Web Desk: A brilliant unbeaten hundred from Shreyas Iyer (113* from 111 balls) and a strokeful 93 from Ishan Kishan helped India register 7 wickets win against Proteas in second ODI at Ranchi on Sunday. The three match ODI series is now levelled 1-1 with one match to go. The hosts successfully chased 279 runs in 45.5 overs, losing just three wickets.

Chasing a stiff target of 279 runs, India lost captain Shikhar Dhawan early. Shubman Gill showed promise but his innings was cut short by Kagiso Rabada. Thereafter Shreyas and Ishan added 161 runs off 155 balls to set up a comfortable run chase. Sanju Samson remained not out on 30*

Earlier, some excellent bowling from Mohammed Siraj (3/30) at the death helped India restrict South Africa to 278/7. The visitors looked to score in excess of 300 runs with Reeza Hendricks (74) and Aiden Markram (79) adding a 129-run stand. But the Indian bowlers fought back brilliantly in the last 10 overs to keep the score to a chaseable target.
