It was a gesture of appreciation by the talented youngster from Hyderabad towards the most successful franchise in the history of cash rich league. Tilak showed tremendous temperament and determination as he scored an unbeaten 34 runs to take Mumbai Indians home against the arch rivals at Wankhede stadium on Thursday night.

Tilak got the biggest compliment from Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma after the match. According to Rohit, Tilak will soon become all-format player for India. The India captain is very impressed with the youngster, especially the calm head he has on his shoulders playing in his first season of IPL. Rohit believes Tilak’s got the technique and temperament to do well in future.

Tilak too was appreciative of the fact that Mumbai Indians have given him the opportunity to represent them in the biggest T20 league of the world. During an interview to MI TV, Tilak said it was a dream come true moment when he was picked by the franchise for a whopping INR 1.7 crore. According to Tilak, he has been watching legends like Sachin Tendulkar, Rohit Sharma since his childhood days and wanted to play for the same franchise. The fact that Mumbai Indians has always managed to come back and win matches in any circumstances is the main reason for Tilak loving the franchise.

The youngster from Hyderabad has been a revelation for the five times champions. He is the top scorer for the Paltans in the season so far with 368 runs from 12 innings with an average of 40.89 and a decent strike rate of 136.32.
