“This was another video game innings”: Virat Kohli lauds Suryakumar Yadav’s brilliant hundred

Xtra Time Web Desk: Suryakumar Yadav once again produced an absolute stunning knock of 111* off just 51 balls in the second T20I against Black Caps at Bay Oval on Sunday. Former India captain Virat Kohli, who have witnessed similar knocks of SKY from the non-striker end described it as a “video game” innings.

It was Surya’s 2nd hundred in the shortest format of the game. Surya’s 52 ball knock was studded with 7 sixes and 11 boundaries. He scored the runs at an amazing strike rate of 217.65.

Taking to Twitter, Virat Kohli admitted that he was not watching SKY’s knock live but heaped praise on the current No 1 T20I batter, lauding his unorthodox big-hitting skills.

“Numero Uno showing why he’s the best in the world. Didn’t watch it live but I’m sure this was another video game innings by him,” Virat Kohli tweeted.

It was the second hundred for Suryakumar in T20 format in the calendar year. He scored his maiden T20I hundred against England earlier this year. India captain Rohit Sharma too has hit two hundreds in this format in the same calendar year.
