This is what Dhawan said after playing a fiery knock

XtraTime Web Desk: There was huge pressure growing on India’s star opener Shikhar Dhawan as he was not scoring big runs and in his absence due to injury, KL Rahul had taken full advantage by playing a few big knocks. In the ongoing third T20I in Pune, Dhawan showed his true class as he played a fiery knock of 52 runs off 36 deliveries. In the innings break he hit seven boundaries & one huge six as well. During the innings break Dhawan talked with the presenter where he opened up about his innings.

I am very happy with the way me and Rahul started the innings today. We both gave a good start to the team. I was playing good even in the last match when I scored 30 odd runs. I value those runs too. Once you are set, you have to make the most of it,” said Dhawan.

He also broke his silence about the competition between the three openers.”The competition is very healthy among the three openers. We three are very good friends so that makes it beautiful. We lost a lot of wickets in a bunch but after that we came back well and scored 200,” concluded Dhawan.
