This day in 2007: MS Dhoni leads India to World T20 champion
XtraTime Web Desk: Former India captain MS Dhoni inspired a young side to the inaugural World T20 championships in Johannesburg. The Men in Blue defeated arch-rivals Pakistan by 5 runs in the final played at the Wanderers stadium.
Dhoni won the toss in the final and opted to bat first. Riding on an impressive 75 run knock India posted 157/5 in their stipulated 20 overs. Chasing a target of 158 runs to win, Misbah ul Haq’s team lost wickets at regular intervals. The Pakistan captain held fort at one end and kept hopes alive for his team until the last over.
In the final over, Pakistan needed 13 runs. Dhoni handed the ball to Joginder Sharma, only to get Misbah, who mistimed a scoop shot over short fine-leg, where Sreesanth took the match-winning catch. Irfan Pathan was adjudged the Man of the Match in the final for claiming three wickets.

On the other hand, we denounce with righteous indignation and dislike men who are so beguiled and demoralized by the charms of pleasure of the moment
