File Pic[/caption] Internet Desk: For the post of the Indian team’s head coach the BCCI has decided to invite more applicants for the Cricket Advisory Committee to select a suitable candidate. The BCCI came up with his plan following the resignation of Anil Kumble who left his post yesterday. The former head coach who was offered an extension till the West Indies tour declined the offer claiming the India skipper Virat Kohli’s reservation over his coaching style. Amidst speculations Ravi Shastri who hadn’t applied for the post can now apply for the job as he is currently favoured by the Indian captain Virat Kohli. Ravi Shastri hadn't sent the application in the first phase because he believed that he didn't receive adequate respect and was deeply disappointed by the way he was removed from his post. It can now be expected that he can apply for the post if the BCCI sends him a letter to apply. Interested candidates having suitable qualifications will be given a time span of 7-10 days to apply for the post has been told to PTI by a top BCCI official. "Look, when we had invited applications last time, Anil was an automatic entry. That might have prompted a lot of people from thinking that what's the need to apply when current coach is doing well and is in the mix," a senior BCCI official said on Tuesday. "Now the situation has completely changed. A lot of people will now be interested knowing it's an open field," the official added.
