Image Source: Xtra Time[/caption] Kolkata: For anyone who knows India cricketer Mohammed Shami closely will know he has a big heart. The 26 year old fast bowler terrorizes the opponent batsmen with his pace bowling, but off the field he comes across as a guy who possesses a kind heart. Shami, who was at the Mohun Bagan ground today to meet his club team mates, was seen calling club grounds man Umesh Das (known as Ramesh mali to the players) after the practice session got over. The India fast bowler started enquiring about his family. Ramesh was taken aback by the gesture from Shami. He told Shami that they are in his hometown Cuttack and that it was difficult for him financially to maintain his son and daughter’s studies. Shami immediately told Ramesh to bring his family to Kolkata. He also assured him that all the expenses of their studies will be taken care by him. Later Ramesh told xtratime.in, “I did not expect such a gesture from him. He is such a big cricketer now. I have seen him playing for India from this club when he joined us four years back. I told him (Shami) that I was not able to continue my daughter’ studies after her Madhyamik exams due to our financial condition. He did not hesitate a while to tell me to bring my family here and continue their studies.” Ramesh has taken a loan for his son’s graduation recently. This is nothing new for Shami as he has always associated himself with a noble cause. But the fast bowler is upset with the recent controversy surrounding his wife’s dress. Shami has been in the eye of a storm since Sunday evening for no apparent reason. He has had to face the wrath of moral police on social media for posting an image of himself and his wife Hasin Jahan. An image in which Jahan can be seen wearing a sleeveless dress. Soon after he posted the image, bigots took to social media to educate Shami on how a true Muslim should behave. Later Shami took to Twitter on Monday morning to share a piece of his mind and shut his trolls up for good. He tweetd, "Ye dono meri zindage or life partner hai me acha trha janta hu kiya karna hai kiya nahi.hame apne andar dekhna chahiye ham kitna accha hai (My wife and my child are my life. I know very well what should be done and what shouldn't. We should look within ourselves to see how good we are)."
