Xtra Time Web Desk : Lucknow Super Giants' young pacer Mohsin Khan on Sunday hogged the limelight in the game against Delhi Capitals, as the speedster took 4 wickets against Rishabh Pant's men and helped his franchise to clinch a crucial win over their opponents.

The 23 year old with his fine spell attracted the likes of Ian Bishop, who advocated the Team India scouts to look at Mohsin as a future prospect alongside Umran Malik and Kuldeep Sen, who are already enjoying huge success in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League.

But who is this new pace sensation ? What is his story ? Hailing from Sambhal in Uttar Pradesh, Mohsin comes from a very humble family background with his father Multan Khan being a sub inspector and had his fair share of struggles.

Being coached by Mr. Badruddin, the left arm pacer idolized Zaheer Khan from a very young age had a knack of playing cricket from his childhood, which struck his parents and brothers and they decided to support him and let him play cricket, which finally turned into success when Mohsin picked up 13 wickets in his debut Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy and got picked by the Mumbai Indians team management in the auction.

The pacer, who after the game against Delhi expressed how he fulfilled his parents' dream of playing in the IPL, didn't find it easy to appear and perform at this stage as he was a part of the Mumbai Indians bench from 2018 to 2020, without playing a single game for the five time champions.

It was in this year's Indian Premier League mega auction, that Mohsin got picked by the Lucknow Super Giants for a sum of INR 20 lakhs, which has surely proved to be a change in fortune for the Uttar Pradesh youngster.

In domestic cricket, he has appeared in 17 List A matches for Uttar Pradesh, taking 26 wickets at an average of 20.92 and economy rate of 5.15. He has picked up 34 wickets at 20.08 and a 7.11 economy rate in 28 T20s.
