The AIFF announces punishment against FC Pune City, what will happen to Nestor Gordillo?

XtraTime Web Desk: A massive win off the ground for defending I-League champions Chennai City FC, as the Player Status Commitee of The AIFF has imposed a significant transfer ban on Hero ISL outfit FC Pune City for their illegal way to recruit Spanish midfielder Nestor Gordillo without paying the Chennai based club the due compensation. Nestor had a terrific season for Chennai and was instrumental in helping the club to win the title.

The Players Status Committee has also imposed a four-month ban on Nestor for the guilt. The Spaniard has also been mandated to pay a one-time compensation amounting to three months’ salary to Chennai City along with a fine of INR 50000 to the AIFF.

The Spanish midfielder now will have to serve a four-month ban from playing in any official matches organised by or under the All India Football Federation.
