It was quite an emotional moment for Umran Malik during the inauguration of U19 cricket tournament organized by Jammu & Kashmir Cricket Association. Umran met the young talents of Jammu & Kashmir and encouraged them to do well in the future. The Sunrisers Hyderabad pacer was felicitated by the J&K Cricket Association members.
Umran got quite emotional when he met the old ground staffs of the association who saw him grow as a cricketer. Umran, who hails from Gujjar Nagar in Jammu spent most of his time while growing up as a cricketer. Umran also played in the U19 cricket tournaments organized by the association.
The teenage pace sensation reached his hometown on Tuesday. He was welcomed by hundreds of people from adjoining areas to celebrate the selection in Indian T20 squad for the upcoming five match series against South Africa at home.
The news of Umran’s selection in the Indian Team spread like wildfire as his house was flooded with relatives, neighbor’s and friends. Within no time by evening, the locality was full of people as hundreds hit the roads and streets whereas Mohalla Welfare Committee members were beating the drums and dancing to celebrate his selection in Indian team.
