Xtra Time Web Desk: The Indian cricket team, fresh from their World Cup victory, cut a special cake curated by the chefs of ITC Maurya in Delhi. The ceremony was headed by Rohit Sharma, Rahul Dravid, and Virat Kohli before the team made their way to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's residence.

The celebration at ITC Maurya was marked by the presence of the entire team, who proudly wore custom-made 'India Champions' jerseys. The chefs at ITC Maurya created a magnificent three-tier cake in the hues of orange, blue, and white, reflecting the colors of India's T20I jersey. Topped with a replica of the coveted trophy and adorned with photographs of the team lifting the World Cup, the cake was a true masterpiece.

Hotel staff gathered to cheer for the champions as Rohit Sharma, the World Cup-winning captain, along with head coach Rahul Dravid, led the cake-cutting ceremony. Star batter Virat Kohli received a warm reception from the hotel staff and fans alike as he joined the celebration.

Following the cake-cutting, the team headed to the team bus, with vice-captain Hardik Pandya and other players joining in the festivities. The team then made their way to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence in Delhi.

The Indian team returned home from Barbados on an Air India chartered plane, landing early Thursday morning. Rohit Sharma, holding the T20 World Cup trophy, was greeted by hundreds of fans at the airport, with chants of "Virat Kohli" ringing loud. Celebrations continued outside the team hotel, with Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya, and Suryakumar Yadav dancing to the tunes of the dhol.

After their meeting with PM Modi, the Men in Blue will fly from Delhi to Mumbai. A victory parade is planned near Marine Drive and Wankhede Stadium in the evening, culminating in a grand celebration ceremony at Wankhede Stadium with BCCI dignitaries.

This day of celebrations marks the glorious return of the World Champions, Team India, as they bask in their hard-earned victory and the adulation of their fans.
