Xtra Time Web Desk: Former World Cup winning India all rounder Yuvraj Singh is all set to team up with Chris Gayle as the duo is likely to be seen in action for a community cricket club in Melbourne. Mulgrave Cricket Club, which features in Eastern Cricket Association (ECA) in Melbourne, has approached the two big global stars. The deal between the club and the two cricketers is almost finalized, confirmed club president Malin Pullenayegam.

It is not that Yuvraj Singh and Chris Gayle will be the first big stars to play for Mulgrave Cricket Club. Former Sri Lankan cricketers Tillakaratne Dilshan and Upul Tharanga have also played for the Melbourne club. The addition of these big stars have helped the club get much-needed recognition and more players showed interest in this competition.

Pullenayegam though is not yet satisfied by just bagging the Sri Lankan duo, as he is looking to bag top players from various countries to play the third-tier competition.

“We’ve secured Dilshan, we’ve secured Sanath, we’ve secured Tharanga. We are now working on finalizing agreements with a few other potential players. We are in negotiations, and with Chris (Gayle) and Yuvraj Singh, we are nearly 85 to 90 percent there. We need to finalize a few things but it looks really good,” Pullenayegam told cricket.com.au
