T20 World Cup 2024: Yuvraj Singh advocates youth inclusion post Kohli-Rohit T20 era
Xtra Time Web Desk: Former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh has voiced his opinion on the retirement prospects of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli from T20 cricket, asserting that the esteemed duo should have the liberty to determine the timing of their exits. Yuvraj emphasized their unwavering dedication to Indian cricket, affirming their entitlement to make such a significant decision independently.
Both Kohli and Sharma are anticipated to feature prominently in India's T20 World Cup squad, having returned to the format after an absence of over a year since the 2022 World Cup. Yuvraj conveyed his sentiments to the ICC ahead of the upcoming tournament, expressing his personal inclination for Kohli and Sharma to bid farewell to T20 internationals post the World Cup, should they choose to do so.

"I would like to see more younger players in the T20 format, because it gets the load off them (experienced players) playing 50-over (ODIs) and Test matches. After this (T20) World Cup I would like to see a lot of younger guys come into the team and make the T20 side for the next World Cup," Yuvraj Singh further added.
India's prospects in the tournament are promising, with recent matches in the Caribbean providing valuable insights into the playing conditions. Kohli and Sharma's vast experience is anticipated to be pivotal, particularly in navigating the challenges posed by slow and low pitches in the West Indies.
