Xtra Time Web Desk: The countdown has begun for the much-anticipated T20 World Cup which gets underway in Oman and UAE from October 17. With the warm up matches already started, the excitement is sure to grip the middle east country along with rest of the world. The International Cricket Council has already announced fans will allowed to watch the matches at the stadium.
While several exciting games are in the pipeline, fans will be eagerly waiting to watch the mouth-watering India and Pakistan clash on October 24 at Dubai International Stadium. India have a perfect record against Pakistan in World Cup events. While the Men in Blue defeated their arch-rivals seven times in 50-over World Cups, they defeated them five times in World T20.
Host broadcasters Star Sports highlighted the fact in their new ‘Mauka Mauka’ advertisement ahead of the Indo-Pak clash. The ad starts with a Pakistani fan, with firecrackers in hand, entering an electronic shop in Dubai where an Indian owner greets him. Assuming his team will set the records straight, Pakistani fan asks for a TV. In reply, the Punjabi owner reminds him of how he broke his TV a few years ago after Pakistan lost. Hence he gives him two television sets under the “Buy 1 Break 1” scheme.
The advertisement ends with the traditional ‘Mauka Mauka’ jingle playing in the background. The advertisement will definitely not go down well with Pakistani fans.
