Xtra Time Web Desk: Come Friday as Scotland gears up to face India in one of their biggest matches in the country’s cricket history at Dubai International Stadium. The Scottish captain Kyle Coetzer is excited to go out in the middle for the toss with Indian captain Virat Kohli.

"The match against India could be one of the biggest, if not the biggest game in the history of Scotland given how popular the game is in India and how impactful a lot of those players are on the world game. So that's gonna be a huge game for us," Coetzer told in an interview to News9

The Scottish skipper is looking forward to picking Kohli's brain when the two teams go head-to-head on Friday.

"Standing next to Virat up there at the toss will be a special occasion for anyone, not just myself. So, like he's an idol of the game. Like the way he plays, the stylish manner in which he scores his runs. Virat isn't someone I've had the opportunity to have any conversations with," Coetzer said.

On being asked if his team would like to invite Virat to their dressing room, Coetzer said, "Virat Kohli is a fantastic ambassador of the game. Some of our guys were very lucky to go and speak to Mujeeb ur Rahman and even Rashid Khan after the game at Sharjah. But yes, we want our guys to find ways to speak to them. Whoever that player is, whether it be Kohli or Rashid or Williamson, that's the only way and the best way to learn,"

Scotland has already bowed out of the tournament with three consecutive losses. The Scottish side is determined to make an impression in the game against India.

"We want to play hard and try to push India as much as we possibly can. On the day, we understand that's quite a tough challenge. But we have to be realistic. But we also have to try and be honest to ourselves if we want to play as hard as we can and try and push," signed off Coetzer.
