Xtra Time Web Desk: Indian players got some much-needed break after the two warm up games in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2021. Some members of the team enjoyed the break to take part in the ‘dalgona candy’ challenge. The International Cricket Council (ICC) shared a small video wherein the players were seen indulging in the popular Korean series ‘Squid Game’, which apparently has become quite a rage worldwide.
The game is quite challenging and hard and requires players to draw a tiny shape in the candy without breaking or distributing it. The players who fail to do within the required time frame, or break the tiny candy are knocked out.
“India put to the test in nerve-wracking game,” ICC wrote in its Instagram post accompanying the video.
The post also added, “Indian Cricket Team stars are put to the test with a game made famous by one of the world’s most talked-about shows.”
Players like Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, KL Rahul, Mohammed Shami, Jasprit Bumrah, and Varun Chakravarthy can be seen taking part in the squid challenge. Shami and Rohit patiently carved a tiny shape without breaking. Meanwhile, the other players tried to not break it but eventfully failed in their attempts.
