File Pic[/caption] Kolkata: As the days are getting closer for the CAB elections, Sourav Ganguly and team is strengthening their position at CAB. Mohun Bagan assistant secretary, Srinjoy Basu  who is  also a nominee for the treasurer or one of the joint-secretary post from Sourav Ganguly's team visited CAB at 4:30 p.m. Few minutes CAB President Sourav Ganguly too reached Eden Gardens and the duo of Sourav and Srinjoy had a long discussion in the President's chamber. According to the previous news published by xtratime.in, it means that Sourav-Srinjoy pair is getting more powerful as the days for the election come closer. As per closed sources from CAB, Srinjoy was present today to judge the situation. But the ruling group of CAB is keeping their mouth shut as the Lodha Committee verdict is yet to come. After the long discussion with CAB President Sourav Ganguly, Srinjoy Basu had a meeting with one of the top official of CAB Sarabindu Pal along with Bablu Koley and Samrat Bhowmik and all of them are known to be very close to Sourav Ganguly. Srinjoy Basu did not end his discussion here. He was then seen to be in a meeting with his father-in-law Chitrak Mitra and Chairman of CAB trustee board Goutam Dasgupta along with Prabir Chakraborty and Atanu Ghosh who all are close to be Sourav Ganguly too. There is no doubt ahead of the elections why these meetings are being held in CAB. Meanwhile, when Sourav Ganguly and team are holding these frequent discussions in the CAB, the pair of Biswarup Dey-Subir Ganguly rooms are gradually getting empty. However, CAB officials are little worried about the Supreme Court verdict on the Lodha Committee recommendations as the date of the verdict is yet to be declared. As per Supreme Court rules and regulations, the day when the final verdict is to be given, the day before the case list is declared for the following day by 7 p.m. But on Monday there is no name of this case in the case list. It is being heard that Lodha Committee will produce their final recommendations by next week's Tuesday-Friday and on the basis of the recommendations SC's bench of T.S.Thakur-Kalifulla will give its final verdict. Justice F.M. Ibrahim Kalifulla's last day at SC is on 22nd July as he is taking retirement. It is quite natural that now the Sourav Ganguly and team along with Biswarup Dey and Co. are keeping a close watch on the verdict.
