XtraTime Web Desk: The Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) secretary Snehasish Ganguly was on Wednesday admitted in Bellevue nursing home after testing positive for COVID-19. Earlier there was a rumor about Snehasish testing positive. He refuted the rumours then claiming it was completely baseless. However this time round it actually turned true as the former Bengal cricketer turned administrator was affected by the dreaded virus. It is learnt the whole family including Sourav, wife Dona, daughter Sana and mother are staying in home quarantine.

According to Avishek Dalmiya, the President of CAB, “These are tough times. He has admitted himself yesterday night at a city hospital. Other than having mild temperature, he is alright at the moment. Wish him a speedy recovery”.

The CAB President himself has decided to go on home quarantine as he came in close proximity with Snehasish during a brief visit to Eden Gardens a couple of days back to oversee the arrangements of quarantine facility for corona victims of the state.

“Yes, I would be undergoing home quarantine for the next few days as per required protocol. During the meeting with Police Authorities at Lal Bazar, only I was present on behalf of the Association. However, Snehasish Ganguly had joined during the later part of the brief visit at Eden Gardens,” added Avishek.
