Sir Viv Richards fall ill while doing pre-match show at Sabina Park
Debasis Sen, Sabina Park: Former West Indies legend Sir Vivian Richards fell ill while he was on the air doing a pre-game show ahead of the second test match between India and West Indies here at the Sabina Park on Friday.
Richards, who has been doing commentary for the host broadcaster Sony in the ensuing series was in the middle of an analysis with co-commentators Graeme Swann and Ajay Jadeja. Suddenly he felt a bit of dizziness and complained about not feeling well. A stretcher was immediately brought but Sir Viv left the ground with the help of two volunteers. After the incident, he has been taken to hospital for check-up.
It is learnt that it was dehydration due to the excessive hot conditions. According to the latest update, he is currently getting medical attention in West Indies dressing room.
