Sir Donald Bradman’s 110th birthday: World cricket commemorates the iconic occasion

XtraTime Web Desk:
The entire cricketing world is in remembrance of the 110th birthday of the  greatest batsman in the history of world cricket, Sir Donald Bradman.

The latest Google Doodle commemorates the 110th birthday of Australian cricketing icon Sir Donald George Bradman.

The doodle isn’t animated or interactive. Instead, it just features a colour caricature of Donald Bradman hitting a ball away with the swing of his bat, set against the backdrop of what appears to be a tapered cricket pitch. The word ‘GOOGLE’ is written on the pitch, with the first ‘O’ hidden behind Bradman’s caricature.

Using a share icon on the bottom right corner, users can easily share the doodle with others over email, direct link, Facebook, and Twitter.

Often referred to as ‘The Don,’ Sir Donald George Bradman is widely acknowledged as the greatest batsman of all time. His career test batting average of 99.94 is frequently cited as the greatest achievement by any sportsman in any major sport.

Bradman made his first-class debut in 1927, when he was 19 years old. Playing for New South Wales (NSW) against Adelaide, he scored a century (118 runs).
