Xtra Time Web Desk: Renowned playback singer Krishnakumar Kunnath, popularly known as KK, passed away in Kolkata on May 31 (Tuesday) night after reportedly feeling ill during a live performance in a college fest at Nazrul Manch. He collapsed after the show and was rushed to a city hospital where he was declared dead. He’s survived by his wife and two children.
West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee paid her tribute at the Rabindra Sadan. The family of the singer was also present in Kolkata. A gun salute was accorded to the versatile singer as a large number of people gathered to pay their tribute.
Meanwhile, sportspersons also paid their tributes for the singer on his untimely death on Twitter.
