Xtra Time Web Desk: In an unexpected turn of events during the recent Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, star Indian cricketer Shreyas Iyer, currently on a break from cricket, shared the limelight with former France and Manchester United footballer Patrice Evra. Iyer, taking time off before rejoining the Indian cricket squad ahead of the fourth T20I against Australia at Raipur, surprised everyone by presenting F1 world champion Max Verstappen with his Indian ODI jersey, adding a unique blend of cricket to the high-speed F1 atmosphere.
The season finale on Sunday witnessed Verstappen's absolute dominance, securing his 19th win in 22 races and solidifying his championship title. Red Bull Racing's driver started at pole position, facing little competition and finishing the race an impressive +17.993s ahead of second-placed Charles Leclerc. Although Red Bull's Sergio Perez initially claimed P2, a five-second penalty relegated him, denying him a podium finish.
