Shocking! This is how Team India has been greeted after arriving at London

Debasis Sen, London: London is yet to switch on the Cricket World Cup mode as brexit and the football fever have still engulfed the beautiful city. No wonder! The four top English football teams are in the finals of Europe’s top two continental club football championships finals – The UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League. Among Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool, the first three are from London itself.

Naturally, the enthusiasm has been surrounding the game of football and the four clubs only. It is expected that the interest about the cricket World Cup can only begin to evolve when the Champions League and Europa League would be over and the Cricket World Cup will also start rolling.

The surprising fact was that when the Men in Blue entered into the Park Plaza Hotel, there was hardly any Indian cricket fan or media present to greet the likes of Kohli and Dhoni.

It took around two long hours for Team India to touch the Park Plaza Hotel from the Heathrow Airport. It was around 3:30pm in the local time when they arrived.

It was Rohit Sharma who came out first from the team bus. He simply seemed tired with the long journey he had. On the flip side, captain Virat Kohli seemed fresh when he came out with Chahal. MS Dhoni was as calm and reserved as he always remains.

Thursday, all the team captains will go for a combined press conference at a place in North London. It is around 11 miles away from the Indian team hotel.
