Xtra Time Web Desk: Team India fast bowler Shardul Thakur got engaged to his long-time girlfriend Mittali Parulkar on Monday. Shardul, who is enjoying the break from the ongoing test series against New Zealand decided to get engaged. There is a small reception to be held at the Bandra Kurla Complex and will be attended by 75 odd guests.

As per reports the 30-year-old, intends to focus on his cricket, with a marriage ceremony set to take place after the T20 World Cup next year in Australia.

“There is a small engagement function at the Mumbai Cricket Association’s facility in BKC on Monday, for which he has invited 75-odd guests-mostly close friends and family members. The wedding is likely to take place after the T20 World Cup in Australia next year,” a source close to the player told TOI.

Shardul Thakur has been a regular for India across all formats. He is unlikely to be retained by the Chennai Super Kings franchise ahead of IPL mega auction.
