Xtra Time Web Desk: Good news for Indian fans as Team India speedster Mohammad Shami is back bowling in full rhythm at the nets. Shami attended his first training session with the Indian team at the Gabba on Sunday. Shami replaced Jasprit Bumrah in the Indian team for the ongoing T20 World Cup 2022 which got underway with the Qualifiers on Sunday. The Men in Blue will take on hosts Australia in the first warm up game at Gabba on Monday. The fast bowler from Amroha raked up good speed as he troubled most Indian batters. Shami was seen bowling alongside Harshal Patel in the nets.

Meanwhile, the entire Indian squad was at the practice session on Sunday. The likes of Virat Kohli, captain Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant and Dinesh Karthik all had a good knock at the nets.

It will be interesting if both Karthik and Pant gets an opportunity in the playing XI. Pant had a long wicket-keeping drills with fielding coach T Dilip.  Later Pant was seen having a long discussion with mental conditioning coach Paddy Upton.

Virat Kohli, who was rested for the two practice games against Western Australia XI at WACA was seen having extended batting session.

Rohit Sharma-led India will take on Australia in the first of the two matches on Monday at Gabba. The Men in Blue will also take on New Zealand in the second warm up game at the same venue on October 19.
