Shakib Al Hasan suspended for three matches by DPL for unruly on field behavior

Shakib Al Hasan was banned for three matches in Dhaka Premier League on Saturday.

Xtra Time Web Desk: Star Bangladesh all rounder Shakib Al Hasan has been suspended for three matches in Dhaka Premier League on Saturday for his unruly on field behavior against the match officials in the match versus Abahani Limited on Friday. He was also fined Taka 5 lakh (USD 5800 approx.).

Shakib lost his cool after an umpiring decision went against his team. He was seen kicking the stumps after a strong leg-before appeal against his Bangladesh teammate Mushfiqur Rahim was turned down by umpire Imran Parvez.

Shakib was again involved in an argument with umpire Mahfuzur Rahman after he called for covers with one ball left to complete a minimum of six overs of the Abahani innings which would have completed the match. Shakib rushed from mid-off and uprooted the stumps.

The former Bangladesh captain was seen misbehaving with rival team officials and former national cricketer Khaled Mahmud Sujon.
