Internet Desk: Goa humiliated Bengal 3-1 in a Santosh trophy main round match at Nagpur on Tuesday. Beevan D’mello,Milagres Gonsalves and Agnelo Colaco was on target for Goa while Narahari Shrestha scored the solitary goal for Bengal.
Both teams started the first half with an attacking intent. Both teams created some chances but due to lack of finishing they failed to score. The first half ended goalless.
In the second half Bengal conceded two silly goals within two minutes that killed the match. Bengal striker Ashim Biswas got injured in the match.
Coach Alok Mukherjee said, “We played well in the first half but we conceded two silly goals. That spoiled the match”. Bengal will face Punjab on 3rd March.
