Internet Desk: Starting a new women’s doubles venture Sania Mirza further headed for a victory. This time Sania reached the quarterfinal of Connecticut Open pairing with Monica Niculescu of Romania.
Within four days of winning women’s doubles of Cincinnati Master’s Cup Sania Mirza crossed the first round of Connecticut Open easily. The pair of Sania and Niculescu defeated the US pair of Louisa Chirico and Alison Riske.
The match was much easy for the World no.1 women’s doubles player as they won it by 6-0 6-3.
In the quarterfinal they will face the pair of Darija Jurak of Croatia and Anastasia Rodionova of Australia.
