Xtra Time Web Desk : Out of favour Team India wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha, who had earlier alleged that he was intimidated by a journalist for not giving an interview, on Saturday opened up to the media and told that he had revealed all the details to a BCCI committee probing the matter.

A three-member committee on Saturday met Saha in New Delhi on Saturday to probe into the 37-year-old’s allegations against the unnamed journalist. And according to sources, it is learnt that the alleged journalist is Boria Majumdar.

“I have told the committee everything I know. I have shared all the details with them. I can’t tell you much right now. BCCI has asked me not to talk about the meeting outside as they will answer all your queries,” said Saha to the media after appearing before the committee.

And after all of the above fiasco, veteran journalist Boria Majumdar on Saturday hit back at the 37 year old’s claim of threatening him, and made the announcement of filing a defamation suit against Wridhhi for ‘doctoring’ their chats in the screenshots that were posted on Twitter by the wicketkeeper-batter earlier.

According to Majumdar, “I have been in the media for close to 20 years now and I have conducted more than 2000+ interviews…so much so that some of the players who I’ve interviewed over the years have now become very close friends. Wriddhiman Saha is one I’ve known for more than 12 years and I’ve done many an interview with him, written columns on him, celebrating him and he has also endorsed my book Eleven Gods and a Billion Indians in the past. It is from this premise that I have been deeply anguished by what has transpired in the last few weeks. And this is because Wriddhiman Saha has doctored, fabricated, manipulated screenshots and has put it out in the public domain trying to implicate me and garner public sympathy in the process.”

Majumdar further went on to explain on how Saha had tampered his WhatsApp chats in the video which he posted on Twitter. Take a look at the full video given below, for further details :

As mentioned earlier, Boria Majumdar will now file a defamation suit against Wriddhiman Saha on behalf of the above issue.
