Xtra Time Web Desk : SC East Bengal on Saturday suffered yet another 1-0 loss to Bengaluru FC to end their poor Indian Super League campaign.

It was yet another disappointing match for the Red and Gold brigade as they had much less possession from the start of the match, as usual which ultimately went against them. It took just 24 minutes for Bengaluru to score the first and decisive goal of the match, courtesy of a brilliant effort from their Captain Marvel, Sunil Chhetri. The first half ended with Bengaluru being in the ascendancy.

In the second half however, the Torchbearers tried to make their way back into the match by creating a few opportunities, but ultimately weren’t able to pounce upon them as they’ve done through the whole season. This resulted in the scoreline being 1-0 in favour of Sunil Chhetri’s team at the end of 90 minutes, which handed them 3 points.

Mario Rivera’s team have now faced an all time low by ending this year’s ISL campaign at the last place in the league table.
