Xtratime Web Desk : 24th April every year in India is like an unofficial holiday as the whole nation celebrates the birth of their 'cricketing god'. 48 years ago on this day 'little master' Sachin Tendulkar was born. A little boy from the streets of Mumbai then went on to rule the cricketing world for 24 years.

Yes 24 years of uninterrupted, unputdownable pure joy and love that he has spread to not only his countrymen but to the whole world as well. High backlift, shots in the 'v' displaying sponsorers name, pulls and hooks to fiercesome fast bowlers off the world , step out sixes to legendary spinners he entertained us with almost everything. When he stepped on to the 22 yards a whole nation came to a halt. Such was his charisma.

Today i.e on Saturday he is celebrating his 48th birthday. Amidst corona scare and second wave that has disturbed whole of India it is all a family affair for Sachin. Wishes poured in over social media from different spheres of the society for 'master blaster'. On the occasion of his 48th birthday he has a special message for his fellow countrymen where he urged all Covid-19 survivors to come forward and donate plasma as per doctors' advice to helo in saving life of fellow countrymen. Incidentally Sachin himself was infected by corona virus. He had to take 21 day isolation recently before his report came negative.
