SA vs IND: Rohit, Rahane begins preparation for South Africa tour | Video

Xtra Time Web Desk: The Indian cricketers have started preparing for the upcoming tour to South Africa. Team India’s new test vice-captain Rohit Sharma were among the few who have began training in Mumbai from Friday. Rohit took to social media to share a video clip in which he can be seen working with Team India throw-down specialists Raghu and Nuwan on a pitch full of pace and bounce. He was seen concentrating on defending and leaving the ball.

“Getting started in 3..2..1,” wrote Rohit on Instagram along with the video.

Rohit has replaced Ajinkya Rahane as the test vice-captain apart from being named as the ODI captain. Ajinkya Rahane too has began preparation for the tough tour to South Africa. He too shared a video of him batting at the nets in Mumbai on his Instagram handle. The upcoming South Africa tour will be huge for him.

Meanwhile, Mohammed Shami also returned to the nets at the National Cricket Academy where he can be seen getting a few overs under his belt. He was rested from the recently-concluded home series against New Zealand along with fellow pacer Jasprit Bumrah.

The Indian team is scheduled to travel to the Rainbow nation on December 16. Virat Kohli and his boys are scheduled to play three Test matches and three ODIs in South Africa.
