Xtra Time Web Desk: Team India captain Rohit Sharma was seen sharing his valuable advice to Sanju Samson ahead of the ODI series decider against West Indies. Rohit was seen spending some time with Samson after he finished his batting in the nets at Queens Park Oval on Monday. The Indian captain shared his brotherly advice to Sanju and pointed out where he was going wrong. The wicket-keeper batter from Kerala is under pressure to perform to stake a claim in the ODI side for the upcoming Asia Cup.

With both KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant recovering from injuries, a good performance from Samson can cement his place in the white ball side. Sanju looked in great touch at the nets, hitting some attacking strokes. It looks like Samson might get another opportunity in the playing XI for the crucial ODI series decider against West Indies.

Another batter will also be under spotlight for Tuesday’s all-important match. All eyes will be on Shubman Gill as well as how he can get back to run-scoring ways. He did look good for his 34 runs but failed to capitalise the start.

There were some concerns as Shubman got hit on his chin by a rising delivery while taking throwdowns during the optional practice session at the Queens Park Oval on Monday. Shubman was quick to regroup himself and take guard. Gill batted for a few minutes before he was asked to leave the field by the BCCI Medical staffs. He was soon attended by the team physio. Shubman was seen holding the ice-pack on his chin.

Shubman was seen focussed while batting in the nets. Despite his poor run of scores in the ongoing series, Shubman is putting his best effort so as to bounce back to form. During the second ODI at Kensington Oval,  Shubman went on to achieve a rare feat as he broke Pakistan superstar Babar Azam's long-standing record. In his 34-run knock, Gill went past Babar in the list of batters with most number of runs after 26 innings in ODIs.
