Rohit Sharma resumes outdoor training, shares work-out picture on social media

XtraTime Web Desk: Indian ODI & T20I vice captain Rohit Sharma started outdoor training from Thursday. The Hitman became the latest Indian cricketer to resume training outdoors after the coronavirus pandemic forced him to stay indoors. Rohit posted a picture of him cooling down after the training session outdoors on his instagram handle.

The ace batsman has been out for a considerable time as he was forced to come back mid-way into the series against New Zealand at the beginning of the year due to an injury. He suffered a calf injury while leading the Indian team in the fifth and final T20I at Mount Maunganui. As a result, he missed the ODI and Test series that Followed. He also missed the ODI series against South Africa (last two ODIs of the series were postponed).

Earlier this week, senior India pacer Ishant Sharma shared a clip of him training outside. Ishant’s bowling partner Mohammad Shami too have started training outdoor. Another India batsman Shreyas Iyer too started doing some physical exercises outdoor. Since BCCI is looking to stage IPL this year, the cricketers are keeping themselves fit.
