XtraTime Web Desk: TRAU FC is well known for giving more chances to the promising footballers and for the upcoming I-League 2020-21 season they have signed young defender Abdul Salam. The 20-year old talented defender has already got the experience of playing for big clubs like NEROCA FC & Real Kashmir FC.
Salam was a part of RKFC in the last season after he played for NEROCA in the 2018-19 season. He is well known as a versatile and speedy right-back with a lot of potential to trouble any side down the wing.
He played 9 matches for NEROCA in the 2018-19 I-League and also featured quite often for Real Kashmir last season, as they maintained one of the best defensive records in the last campaign.
Salam emerged as a bright young prospect in the local level at Manipur before NEROCA managed to sign him up. He won the best defender award as part of the Orange Army in the 2019 CC Meet tournament. Moreover, he also won the Manipur Premier League and Loktak Trophy with NEROCA in his time at the club.
Earlier in last season TRAU FC also showed their interest in Abdul Salam when he was set to leave NEROCA. Though after a lot o speculations, they signed experienced right-back Abhishek Das instead of the young defender.
