Rohit Sharma lifts Virat Kohli on his shoulders after India’s thrilling win over Pakistan at MCG | T20 World Cup 2022

Xtra Time Web Desk: There were some special moments unfolding at the Melbourne Cricket Ground immediately after India scripted a thrilling win over Pakistan in Super-12 clash of ongoing T20 World Cup 2022. Virat Kohli played one of his best T20 knocks (82 off 53) in his career so far to power India to an unbelievable 4-wicket win against arch rivals Pakistan.

After the match, Indian captain Rohit Sharma lifted Kohli in his arms and twirled him like a child. It brought back memories of India’s famous Natwest Trophy win at Lords. The Indian cricketers were jumping onto Virat Kohli as they witnessed the stuff of legends.

There were wild scenes of celebrations in the Indian dug-out. Ravichandran Ashwin, who hit the winning runs was ecstatic as he ran with hands on the sky and rushed towards Virat and hugged him tightly. Another hero of the match, all rounder Hardik Pandya too ran in to celebrate the victory.

Virat’s closest friend KL Rahul, who disappointed with the bat was also seen congratulating him on the incredible run-chase.

Hardik Pandya and Suryakumar Yadav were seen walking towards the stands at the MCG. Both their better halves Natasha Stankovic and Devisha Shetty were in the stands to witness Team India’s win.

Not for the first time – and unlikely to be the last – Virat Kohli turned back the clock with a brilliant individual knock of 82 from just 53 deliveries that saved the day for India.
