Xtra Time Web Desk: The Indian cricket team engaged in a light training session in preparation for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 final against five-time World Champions Australia. Six players, including captain Rohit Sharma, Ravindra Jadeja, Ishan Kishan, KL Rahul, Prasidh Krishna, and Ravichandran Ashwin, participated in the session at the Narendra Modi stadium on Friday. To tackle Australia's left-arm pacer Mitchell Starc and leg-spinner Adam Zampa, two local net bowlers, a left-arm quick and a leggie, were included.

Rohit Sharma, the captain, focused on slip catching practice with fielding coach T Dilip and took throwdowns from Raghu, Nuwan, and Dayanand. Meanwhile, Ravindra Jadeja exhibited aggressive batting in the nets, and KL Rahul showcased a solid technique. Rohit Sharma engaged in a lengthy discussion with former cricketers Mohammed Kaif and Sanjay Bangar during the session.

While it seems unlikely that the team management will make any changes for the final, veteran spinner Ravichandran Ashwin's involvement in both bowling and batting during practice hints at a potential inclusion, considering the Narendra Modi Stadium's likely support for slower bowlers. The team is set to train under floodlights on Saturday, gearing up for the crucial final showdown at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
