Xtra Time Web Desk: There were unbelievable scenes at the Mayfair Grand Hotel in Bhuvneshwar as the Indian team checked in along with the visiting Proteas side for the second T20I to be played at the Barabati Stadium on Sunday.
Hundreds of fans gathered outside the Hotel Mayfair Grand to get a glimpse of their favourite cricketers. The two teams landed at the Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) in Bhubaneswar around 2 pm as hundreds of cricket enthusiasts gathered at the airport as well to welcome them.
The players were welcomed at the airport by members of the Odisha Cricket Association (OCA). They were taken to the hotel in special buses amid tight security. On reaching the team hotel, every member of the teams was greeted with shawls and garlands by hotel staffs. Flowers were showered on the players as they came down from the coaches. There was a traditional welcome given to both teams with local folk dancers performing their art.
