Internet Desk: Former world no.1 Rafael Nadal carried on his consistency to advance towards next level of both singles and doubles. As the matches of this Olympic going on the Spaniard is coming out of his hibernation. Among others the defending Gold Medalist Andy Murray has also advanced to the third round of singles. However, bringing utter disappointment of tennis fans Serena Williams crashed out of Rio 2016.

Yesterday Nadal played his singles second round match against unseeded Andrea Seppi of Italy. He won it easily by 6-3 6-3. The Spaniard missed a number of routine shots in both sets, but played aggressively and tactically throughout.

In the quarterfinal of the doubles pairing with Marc Lopez, Nadal beat Austrian pair of Oliver Marach and Alexander Peya. It was also an easy game for them to win 6-3 6-1.

Andy Murray in his second round singles match beat Juan Monaco of Argentina by 6-3 6-1.

Serena Williams crashed out in the third round of the Rio Games, losing 6–4, 6–3 to Ukraine’s Elina Svitolina. This loss comes shortly after crashing out in the first round of doubles with her sister, Venus, making the singles loss that much more disappointing.
