Today they lost by a huge margin to Australia. Previously they were at the verge of getting out of the Olympics. After today’s match there elimination is a matter of time. In today’s match India was down to Australia from all respect to lose the match by 6-1. However, they could at least net one ball to make the goal difference five. Australia was beaten in all their matches of the Olympics prior to this match. So in this match they were determined to win over India by a huge margin. Thye scored their first goal at the 7^th minute. They scored the second in 16^th minute. In the third quarter they scored two goals with a gap of three minutes. The fifth and sixth goals also came within the difference of five minutes. At the end of the match India’s Anuradha scored a field goal. This averted a washout. In the whole match India was beaten by the pace of the game played by the opponent. Goalkeeper Savita also could not stand steady like the other days. Several times the Indian eves could not reach to the goal to assist Savita and conceived the goals.
