Xtra Time Web Desk: It will be a star studded P Sen Trophy this season as top IPL stars will be seen in action over the next few days. Lalit Yadav of Delhi Capitals, Deepak Punia of Mumbai Indians and Abhishek Sharma of Sunrisers Hyderabad will be seen in action for Mohun Bagan. Jitesh Sharma and Rishi Dhawan of Punjab Kings and Chirag Jani of Sourashtra will play for Bhawanipur club.
Mohun Bagan also approached Kolkata Knight Riders’ star Rinku Singh but he will not be available due to personal commitments.
The tournament kickstarts on Sunday, June 18 while the final will be played on June 24. It will be a knock-out tournament with eight teams participating – Mohun Bagan, Aryans, Bhawanipur, Khidirpur, Barisha, Tapan Memorial, Presidents XI and Disctrict XI. In the opening encounters Bhawanipur will take on Khidirpur at JU campus while Mohun Bagan will face Aryans at the Eden Gardens. The matches will start at 9 am.
The invitational P Sen Trophy has seen star players like Sachin Tendulkar, Kapil Dev, Ajay Jadeja, Ajay Sharma, Javagal Srinath participate earlier.
