The AIFF finalizes the new Technical Director of Indian football. Romania’s Doru Isac has been confirmed as the new Technical Director for Indian football, a source confirmed the media.

The Technical Committee chaired by Shyam Thapa met on Monday to pick the new technical director out of the three candidates — Doru, Jorge Castelo and Georgian Gaioz Darsadze. Doru emerged as the number one choice because of his youth-oriented approach.

The 57-year-old was working as the sporting director of Japanese top division club Yokohama F. Marinos and has managerial experiences with MLS’s Houston Dynamos’ U23s and Romania U19 national team.

Isac was also assistant to legendary French manager Arsene Wenger and Carlos Queiroz.
