Kolkata: Quess East Bengal forward Joby Justin gets suspended by the Disciplinary Committee of The AIFF for spitting at Karim Nurain of Aizawl FC during the Hero I-League game at Kolkata on Monday. Karim too got suspended for the disciplinary reasons. The Honourable Chairman Ushanath Banerjee told www.xtratime.in, “I have seen the video and have taken the decision to suspend both the players till the interim period. I have asked them to come on 3rd March to clarify things.”
It was XtraTime who revealed that Aizawl FC has launched a complaint against the East Bengal forward that he was the one who first initiated the trouble and spat at him. As per Ushanath Banerjee, “Both of them are similarly accused. The decision has been taken and further punishment would be announced after the trial.”
Jobby had a terrific season under the careful eyes of Alejandro Menendez Garcia but the gesture would certainly be something which he would love to forget as quickly as possible.
