Ravindra Jadeja goes wicketless on the first day of comeback match against TN | Ranji Trophy
Xtra Time Web Desk: Team India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja had a quiet day on his comeback after injury. The left hander captaining his state side Sourashtra went wicketless against Tamil Nadu at MA Chidambaram stadium in Chennai.
Jadeja, who was at the National Cricket Academy recently for his rehab, joined the Sourashtra team in Chennai on Sunday. He was recently declared fit by the National Cricket Academy. The left hander has been on the side-lines since August 2022 due to a knee injury.
Jadeja was recently named in the 17-member India Test squad for the first two test matches against Australia in the four-match Border-Gavaskar Trophy. The Ranji Trophy match will help him get back his rhythm ahead of the Test series. Jadeja is an integral member of the Indian team across formats and his return to competitive cricket will be a huge boost for India.
Meanwhile, the home team scored 183/4 at close of play on Day 1. Baba Indrajith remained unbeaten on 45 and Vijay Shankar is batting at the other end on 11.
