Xtra Time Web Desk: Ace India all rounder Ravindra Jadeja is back training for the first time since the successful operation of his thumb. Jadeja, who is now at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) for his rehab was seen training. In a video posted on his twitter handle, Jadeja was seen taking a sprint at the ground inside NCA.

Ravindra Jadeja has been out of action since the third test between India and Australia at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG). He suffered a vicious blow on his left thumb while batting against Mitchell Starc. A rising delivery from the left arm pacer hit Jadeja on his thumb during the first innings of India. He was immediately taken to the hospital for scans where it was revealed that he would be requiring immediate surgery, thus ruling him out of the rest of the series.

The all-rounder underwent surgery in Australia following the Sydney Test and even though it was successful, it was clear that he wouldn’t be returning to the field in the immediate future. As a result he missed the ongoing test series against England and has also been kept out of the five match T20I series.

Fans would be hoping that the charismatic all-rounder will return for the three match ODI series against England at Pune.
