Ravindra Jadeja all set to lead Sourashtra in his comeback match | Ranji Trophy 2023

Xtra Time Web Desk: In what comes as good news for Indian cricket fans, Ravindra Jadeja will be back on the cricket field after a long injury lay-off. The all-rounder is all set to lead Sourashtra in his comeback match against Tamil Nadu in Ranji Trophy Group B fixture at Chepauk starting from Tuesday. Jadeja will lead the state team as Jaydev Unadkat is rested along with Cheteshwar Pujara.

Jadeja, who was at the National Cricket Academy recently for his rehab, joined the Sourashtra team in Chennai on Sunday. He was recently declared fit by the National Cricket Academy. Jadeja announced his arrival in Chennai with a tweet. The all-rounder plies his trade with Chennai Super Kings in IPL

The left hander has been on the side-lines since August 2022 due to a knee injury. It will also be Jadeja’s first Ranji Trophy match since November 2018. 

Jadeja was recently named in the 17-member India Test squad for the first two test matches against Australia in the four-match Border-Gavaskar Trophy. The Ranji Trophy match will help him get back his rhythm ahead of the Test series. Jadeja is an integral member of the Indian team across formats and his return to competitive cricket will be a huge boost for India.
