Rashid reached this feat in his 44th ODI game as he got past Aussie quick bowler Mitchell Starc, who had this record in 52 games. In what can be called a virtual semi-final of the ICC World Qualifier 2018, the Afghan spinner picked 4 crucial wickets against Ireland. Shai Hope was his 100th scalp. He was given lbw on 23. Beside this record, he also took fewest balls as well to reach his 100 ODI wickets milestone, 2127. Rashid also has the best bowling average of (14.2) and strike rate (21.4). Back in 2015 Rashid made his debut for the nation. Now while captaining the side he took his team to the main stage of the World Cup, which is a remarkable achievement. Afghanistan didn’t have a great start in the group stage but luckily qualified for the Super Six with only one win under their belt.
